Level 1 Coaching Course

Venue: Cork IT

Dates & Time: Attendance on all dates required.
Friday 13th Nov (6pm - 10pm) & Saturday 14th Nov (9.00am - 5pm) and Friday 27th Nov (6pm - 10pm) & Saturday 28th Nov (9.00am - 5pm)

Level 1 Coaching Course content includes:

* Developing the techniques of running, jumping, walking and throwing
* Understanding the effects of puberty
* Planning and conducting a training session incorporating run, jump, walk and throw
* Developing a sense of fairplay, discipline, confidence, concentration
* Developing the sport specific running, jumping and throwing skills fundamental

Duration: 2 weekends (25 hours)

Entry Requirements
Level 1 is open to those who have completed an Athletics Leader course or an introductory level course.

Assessment/ Qualification: The Level 1 Coaching badge is awarded on the basis of

* Sample training session
* Observed Practice
* Oral assessment
