Head of Facility, Lead Field Events Coach £60,000 Fixed Term 2014
Scottish Athletics Ltd is responsible for leading the development of athletics in Scotland and is seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic, and self-motivated individual to be the Head of Facility, Lead Field Events Coach.
The successful candidate will have a proven record of developing and producing high level athletes across the throws, jumps and combined events, demonstrated knowledge of long term athlete development principles, ability to teach coaches and athletes in group and individual environments and demonstrated understanding of the multi-faceted organisational requirements of a high performance facility.
Have ability to create and deliver developmentally appropriate strength and conditioning programmes, have strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to build community and work closely with others
Key duties will include being the team lead on all components of athlete high performance within the filed events including training, competition, medical facilitation and science. Be the HiPac lead in organising, scheduling and interfacing with all relevant parties to ensure optimal facility use and identification of equipment needs in consultation with Performance Coaching team, ensuring high facility standards are created. Assist in creation and delivery of coach education content.
This person should have a UKA level 3 or equivalent qualification. An undergraduate degree in Physical Education, Coaching or Sport Science would be an asset. Formal or informal education in Management an asset.
