Longford Sports Partnership is hosting a ‘Code of Ethics and Good Practice for Children’s Sport’ workshop on Wednesday 30th June 2010 from 6.30-10.30pm in the Council Chamber, Longford County Council Offices, Aras an Chontae, Great Water Street, Longford.
A central goal for all those involved in sport for young people is to provide a safe, positive and nurturing environment where children can develop and enhance their physical and social skills.
The Irish Sports Council’s certified workshop addresses core principles relating to the importance of childhood, the needs of the child, integrity & fair play, relationships and safety in children’s sport. The workshop is a 4-hour basic awareness workshop, which is for the benefit of everyone involved in sport for young people including coaches, leaders, administrators, parents/guardians.
