Footage now available to view. A successful Middle Distance Forum focusing on 800m & 1500m was held on Saturday in Donore Harriers clubhouse.
One of Ireland’s most successful middle distance athletes David Matthews led the forum which covered many aspects of the Middle Distance track events.
David as a Double Olympian and holder of 2 senior national records: 1000mts (2.17.58) and 800mts (1.44.82) offered the opportunity for 800m/ 1500m specialists to share his views and experiences.
Athletes and coaches heard first-hand of his early experiences in juvenile athletics, training and competition experiences and wise words of wisdom on many related topics.
