Four Irish teams will compete in the 11th European Athletics mountain running championships in Denizli-Pamukkale this Saturday. Brian MacMahon (Clonliffe) and Sarah McCormack (Clonliffe) head up the senior teams and both will be looking for a top 12-15 placing. Raheny will be represented by Ian Conroy and Fiona Roche so that the North Dublin rivalry will continue even in faraway places!
Clare McCarthy (DSD) should be our top junior woman and she could make the top 10 and lead the team to a top six placing. Jake O’Regan (St. John’s Clare) leads a similarly well-balanced junior men’s team that could finish in the top eight teams.
