Several athletes were in action over thepast few days ahead of the Woodie’s DIY Senior championships at Morton Stadium.
Paul Robinson (St. Coca’s AC) was 5th in the 1,500m at the Folksam Grand Prix in Sweden in a time of 3:39.87, 0.05 inside his previous best for the distance. Ciara Mageean (UCD AC) was third in the 1,500m in 4:10.74, with Orla Drumm (UCC AC) two places further back.
In Germany Rose Anne Gallivan (Newbridge AC) was 6th in the 800m in a time of 2:02.62, while Deirdre Ryan (Dundrum South Dublin AC) won the high jump with a clearance of 1.90m, and Jessie Barr (Ferrybank AC) was 4th in the 400m hurdles in 56.81.
In Belgium Steven Colvert (Crusaders AC) was second inthe 200m in 20.81 and Thomas Barr (Ferrybank AC) was 7th inthe 400m hurdles in 51.04.
