The Aviva Schools International track and field match is underway in Ashford in Kent and several members of the Irish team are performing very well.
Alice Akers (Scariff CC) won the hammer with a throw of 52.22m, a new PB for her.
Adam King (Colaiste na Sceilige Cahirciveen) was second in hte hammer with a throw of 66.66m, just 7cm behind the winner.
David Cussen (Colaiste an Spioraid Naomh, Cork) won the high jump for the second year in succession with a clearance of 2.02m, and (Jamie Murtagh Ashboune C.S.) was second with a clearance of 1.97m.
Hannah O’Sullivan (Boherbue Community School) was second in the discus with a throw of 41.28m.
Louise Shanahan (Scoil Mhuire, Cork)was thrird in the 800m in aitme of 2:12.52.
