Paul Robinson (St. Coca’s A.C.) finished second in the 800m at the Joensuu Games in Finland. Robinson burst into the lead with 300m remaining and was only passed by 1:45.3 800m man, Giordano Benedetti, from Italy in the last 30 meters. Robinson recorded 1:48.40 to Benedetti’s 1:47.85. This time is just off Robinson’s seasons best of 1:48.38 which he ran in May which ranks him second in the Irish rankings list over 800m this year.
