The following athletes have been selected for the Ireland team for the upcoming Throws International on 1st September 2012 in Templemore, Co Tipperary.
Opposition on the day will include teams from Switzerland, Iceland and Wales as well as provincial teams from Leinster, Ulster, Connaught and Munster. This competition will provide Irish athletes with excellent international opposition and will also provide athletes just missing selection an opportunity to represent their province and compete at this higher level.
As this will mark the end of 2012 competitions for throwers, Athletics Ireland is delighted that two of the visiting coaches will hold a coaching clinic after the event in Javelin and Rotational Shot Put. Details will be posted on the coaching section of Athletics Ireland website.
