Deadline Friday 12th of October. In celebration of our heroes, the National Athletics Awards in association with Woodie’s DIY and Tipperary Crystal takes place on Saturday 17th of November in the Clyde Court Hotel in Dublin. The awards each year recognise and celebrate Ireland’s most successful athletes, coaches and officials.
The Club of the Year Award will be divided into two separate awards this year. The first award will be based on athletic performance, of which the nominee’s have already been selected by the selection committee.
Development Club of the Year
We are looking for nominations from Athletics Ireland members for Development Club of the Year. The award is open to clubs of all levels. The award will recognise a club’s efforts based on significant development programmes within the club.
If you would like your club to be considered please submit a piece documenting why your club should win this award by post to Athletics Ireland Unit 19, Northwood Court, Northwood Business Campus, Santry Dublin 9 no later than Friday 12th of October or by email to awards@athleticsireland.ie no later than Sunday 14th of October.
The Development Clubs who have been shortlisted by the selection panel will be announced shortly after the closing date. The two Club of the Year winners will be announced at the National Athletics Awards on Saturday 17th of November in the Clyde Court Hotel in Dublin.
This year’s event will take the format of a black tie gala dinner with a band to round the evening’s entertainment off after the presentation of awards. 2012, has been a very exciting and successful year for Irish Athletics and we hope that you and your club members will come along to celebrate those successes.
