Paul Pollock (Annadale Striders AC) will represent Ireland at the IAAF World Half Marathon Championships on Saturday 6th of October. The event takes place in the black sea coastal town of Kavarna in Bulgaria. Pollock will face the world’s best road runners, with the men’s race beginning at 9am Irish time.
Pollock has been in tremendous form as of late, having secured the National Title at the Woodie’s DIY Half Marathon Championships of Ireland in September. It was in that race that he recorded his personal best time of 64.16, producing a very fine performance in hot and humid conditions. Pollock will not be over awed by the occasion and will target another fine performance on Saturday.
