When – Saturday - 20th October 2012 Time 11am - 2.30pm
Invited – athletes and their coaches in the 14+ age groups
Coaches/facilitators –
Garet Moffett, Hammer; currently coaching a number of nationally ranked hammer throwers –on his 3rd visit to the North West
Sharon Foley, High Jump – former National HJ record holder - 1.87m and World IAAF competitor
Eamon Harvey, sprint/hurdles – former Olympic Coach and coach to numerous International athletes. Currently R.D.O. for the North West region
Content of day
11.00 -12.30 – Coaching technique/recognising and correcting faults/video analysis
1.15 - 2.30 – Workshop on General and Specific Winter conditioning programme for the young athlete ref. Throws/Hammer; Jumps/High Jump and Speed /sprint hurdles
Cost - €5 - includes light refreshments/ bring own lunch
