Athletics Ireland wishes to announce the appointment of Teresa McDaid as Manager of the Irish Cross Country team for the European Cross Country Championshipswhich take place in Budapest on December 9th. Teresa takes over from Anne Keenan-Buckley who has stood down from the role.
“Anne Keenan Buckley has made a significant contribution to the success of Irish Cross Country on the European stage in the past number of years and has managed the Irish under 23 men’s Cross Country team to European glory and last year led the team where Fionnuala Britton won individual gold in the women’s senior race. We thank Anne for the outstanding contribution she has made as team manager” said John Foley, C.E.O. Athletics Ireland.
“We are delighted that Teresa McDaid has accepted the role of cross country team manager for the European Championships. Teresa has vast experience as both a coach and team manager and we have great confidence that she will do an excellent job in leading our team in Budapest”
