Sara Louise Treacy (Moynalvy AC) completed her preparations for the Woodie’s DIY Inter County cross country championships with a fine fifth pace finish in the IAAF World Cross Country meeting in Soria Spain on Saturday. Nazareth Weldu from Eritrea won the 8k race in a time of 28:36 with treacy timed at 29:07.
Two weeks earlier she played a big part in Birchfield Harriers win in the ECCA national relays. Running anchor she finished strongly to hold the challenge of Beth Potter who clocked the same as Treacy in the run to the line. Post race interview
