Triathlon Ireland is excited to announce the launch of a new coaching initiative starting in January 2013.
The aim of this programme is to deliver a progressive series of workshops that offer a high level of learning around all areas of performance endurance sport. You will be presented with the most up to date material, detailed training plans and how the world’s best athletes train. These courses are open to non Triathlon Ireland coaches and may be of interest to current Athletics Ireland endurance coaches.
The Series is being led by Triathlon Ireland’s High Performance Director Chris Jones with experts in a number of fields called upon for their input. Chris Jones is also the current coach of defending European Cross Country Champion Fionnuala Britton (Kilcoole AC)
The workshops will have the following components, creating an interactive learning experience:
•A key presentation around the workshop subject matter.
•Sports specific break out groups, encouraging stimulating and challenging debate, in context of the key note presentation.
•Applied skill learning in small groups working with experts in their field.
•Take away reading recommendations and preparation work required for the next workshop.
Lectures will take place in Athlone. Details of exact location sent prior to lecture.
