The 1st session of the Munster Performance Squad was held at Cork IT for the 2012/2013 season. Held in perfect conditions there was a big turnout of all event groups. After the head event coaches were introduced to all the athletes, they headed off with their own event groups and got stuck into the training. All the event coaches were very happy with the sessions and now look forward to meeting their groups over the coming months.
A special thanks to all the athletes, their personal coaches who attended, Cork IT and to our head event coaches Steve Fleming, Eamon Flanagan, Chris Regan, Dave Sweeney, John Sheehan, Alan O Connor, Brian Akers, Rachel Akers, Steven Macklin, Br John Dooley, Shane McCormack, Noelle Morrissey and Drew Harrison. Thanks to Irish International MD athlete David McCarthy for coming along. Congratulations also to some of the Munster Performance Squad athletes who excelled at the combined events international at the weekend.
