Rose Anne Galligan (Newbridge AC) added her name to the list of qualifiers for the European indoor championships in Gothenburg next weekend when she clocked 2:03.39 to win the 800m at the Athlone IT graded meet last night. She took over the lead shortly after halfway and then withstood the challenge of Siobhan Eviston (Raheny Shamrock AC) who never gave up her challenge and was just outside the standard with a time of 2:03.67.
