Derval O’Rourke and Paul Hession head to Moscow
Derval O’Rourke, and Olympic semi-finalist Paul Hession are among the line-up of athletes competing at this weekend’s IAAF Permit Meeting in Moscow
O’Rourke set a personal best of 7.84secs for the 60metres Hurdles when winning the World Indoor title in Moscow two years ago.
This weekend, she races against Aleksandra Fedoriva (Russia) and Alena Krasovskaya (Ukraine) who are both Olympic medallists.
Galway sprinter Paul Hession also runs in Moscow and he will be hoping to build on the form he showed last summer when he confirmed his status as one of the world’s top sprinters by reaching the 200metres semi-final at the Beijing Olympics.
