Member of the Irish 4x400m team that placed fifth and set a new Irish Record of 3.01.67 at the European Athletics Championships in Zurich. Brian won silver in the 400m at the U23 European Track and Field Championships in 2011. In 2012 he represented Ireland in the 400m at the European Track and Field Championships in Helsinki, finishing sixth in the final. The Dublin athlete also competed at the World Championships in 2013, qualifying for the semi-finals. A DCU graduate Brian has competed in two World University Games (2011, 2013) finishing in fifth place on both occasions. He is the second fastest Irish man ever over 400m with a personal best of 45.53.
