POSTED:

Everything is now finalised for the 3rd AAI Endurance Coaches Network (ECN) day taking place on Saturday 1st October at Athlone IT. Please find the final timetable for the day here and the speaker bio’s here. We will be based mostly in the large lecture theatre (Earl of Rosse C1164) located just inside the main door when heading for the canteen, on the right hand side. The breakout rooms are in D1115, D1116, D1121. Final details as follows:

Location

We will be based in the main building (where canteen situated) at Athlone IT on Saturday, see map here  and here

Registration

When you arrive participants are asked to go direct to the main Lecture Theatre Earl of Rosse C1164 where you can register between 8.45am-9.15am. Please make sure you do this and give your name to the people at registration. Only those registered for the event and on our master list will be allowed entry to the Lecture Theatre. There are some places still available and an option to pay in cash on the day €30 if not registered at this point. Please pass this on to any coach from your club that may still be interested in attending.

Rooms

We will be located in the following rooms:

C1164- Main Lecture Theatre

D1115, D1116, D1121- Breakout Session Rooms

Punctuality

It is of paramount importance that all those attending arrive on time in the morning for registration and are punctual to all presentations. We must respect those presenting and having people arrive late into rooms is very disruptive. Please be seated 5 mins before the start time of each presentation in the correct room. Again we appreciate your support with this.

What to Bring

Coaches can wear anything they wish and may want to bring a pen & paper with them for any notes they wish to take.

Food/Drink

There will be tea/coffee/biscuits served on 2 occasions during the day at 8.45am and 4.00pm and for lunch the main canteen will be open but coaches must pay for their own lunches.

Accommodation

Anybody looking for accommodation for the Friday night we recommend The Creggan Court Hotel located just up the road from the college

Parking

Members of the public visiting AIT for education or recreational purposes are advised to use the underground car park situated underneath the AIT International Arena.  This is within 100m of the main building. The cost of this is €3 per day per car, payable at the entrance barrier.  Clamping is employed by AIT in the main campus areas.  Your car will be clamped if it does not have a valid ticket or pass.
