Adam King posts World Junior B qualifier at Spring Throws

Adam King (Iveragh) posted a World Junior Championships B qualifier for the hammer at the Spring Throws meet at Morton Stadium today (April 9th).

King threw the 6kg hammer 68.05m while Padraig White (Dunboyne) won the senior hammer with a throw of 61.91m. Conditions were brisk but bright and slightly windy. 

DSD's Anita White had an impressive throw of 51.37m in the women's javelin with a good turnout of throwers on the day. Cushinstown's Shane Joyce threw the 800gm javelin 53.62m while Garreth Crawford (Lifford Strabane) impressed in the 700gm javelin with 61.71m.

Lauren O'Keeffe (Donore Harriers) threw the 3kg hammer 58.13m while Cara Kennedy (Ferrybank) threw the 4kg hammer 59.86m with Michaela Walsh (Swinford) tossing it out to 54.43m.
