Additions Made to Irish Team for
European Indoors

Athletics Ireland are pleased to
announce that a further five athletes have been added to the team
for the forthcoming European Indoor Championships in Madrid on March
4-6th making it the largest Irish team ever for these Championships.
Leading the team of new announcements
is 2000 Champion Mark Carroll who will join World Number one
Alistair Cragg in the 3000m.
1998 World Youth 100m/200m Champion
Emily Maher has been rewarded by her welcome recent return to top
class form by gaining selection along-side Ailis McSweeney in
the 60m.
James Nolan (1500m) and Peter Coghlan
(60m H) have been given an extention to gain the necessary standards
while Gary Ryan (200m) and Adrian O'Dwyer (HJ) both made themselves
unavailable for selection.
