The Irish Life Health National Indoor League gets underway at the International Arena in Athlone IT tomorrow (January 14) and should provide some healthy competition.

Defending champions Sli Cualann (women) and Clonliffe Harriers (men) return with 22 teams in total set to compete – 12 in the women’s division and 10 in the men.

The events in round 1 are the 60m, 60m hurdles, 800m, Long Jump, Pole Vault and Shot Put with a number of guest races included.

Action gets underway at 12pm with the 60m hurdles followed by the 60m and the 800m. The provisional timetable is in the competition section HERE. There will be a number of guest 800m races under the middle distance initiative and you can view the start lists for the five men’s races HERE and for the three women’s races HERE. The event order will be the women’s league race followed by the women’s guest races and then the men’s league race followed by men’s guest races.
