Entries Open For Terenure 5 Mile

POSTED:

The countdown is on to the Terenure 5 Mile on Sunday 17th May at 11am. Formerly known as the “Dublin 5 Mile Classic”, 2015 will be the race's 31st year running. The race is run by Sportsworld Running Club which is located in Bushy Park Terenure. The club has over 250 members, of different levels of ability and looks to cater for all levels of experienced runners. Sportsworld running club has been in existence since 1983.

The fast 2 lap course starts from Terenure College, Dublin 6w, down through Terenure Village and looks to take in another lap via Templeville road, back through Terenure village and then finish at Terenure College. The number of participants has averaged from 1500 to 1700 over the last couple of years.

The course is AAI certified for accuracy, has chip timing, pacers, post race refreshments and an option to have your name or a caption printed on your race number.

The club looks to run the race to cover the costs, and then contribute an amount of the surplus to a charity.
