Guinness World Record Relay Attempt
One hundred participants are required for a Word Record Challenge set for August in Tallaght Athletic Club.
This record is for the fastest time 100 people can run 400 metres each in relay, the record is currently in Italy and the aim is to bring it to Dublin!
The event is open to people over 18.
Rules for Fastest relay 100 x 400 metres
- The participants cannot cross into another lane during the attempt.
- A baton must be passed between each competitor, the handover of which is subject to the rules set out by the International Athletic Federation (IAAF).
- Each participant can run only once.
- The clock stops when the 100th participant crosses the line marking the end of the 400m distance.
