Team Announcement for Masters in Izmir

A large contingent of Irish Athletes will travel to Izmir in Turkey for the European Masters Track and Field Championships. 17 athletes will travel to the championships which begin on the 22nd of August and conclude on the 31st of August.
Ireland will be represent in every age categories ranging from over 35 to over 75 in both the men’s and women’s competitions. This will include World Champion over 800m (M60) Joe Gough who will be looking to continue his fine season with some more international medals.
Ireland will be looking for some top notch performances after the fantastic medal haul from the World Masters Athletics Championships Indoors in Budapest this year where our athletes came home with 10 medals.
