- Selection of Irish Team -
IAAF Sport Ireland World Cross Country Championships
Dublin 23rd and 24th March 2002

The AAI Inter Club Cross Country Championships take place at the ALSAA Complex Dublin Airport on Sunday 24th March with the following programme of events:

• Junior women 4000 metres 1.00pm
• Junior men 8000 metres 1.30 pm
• Senior women 6000 metres 2.15 pm
• Senior men 12000 metres 2.45 pm

With automatic selection guaranteed for the first three past the post in each of the four races for the forthcoming IAAF Sport Ireland World Cross Country Championships on the 23/24 March (the title sponsors of which are Bord Failte), the event has added significance.

Already pre-selected for Irish team to compete in the IAAF Sport Ireland World Cross Country Championships are:

• Sonia O'Sullivan, Ballymore Cobh
• Ann Keenan Buckley, North Laois
• Mark Carroll, Leevale
• Seamus Power, Kilmurray Ibrickane

The final team selections for the IAAF Sport Ireland World Cross Country Championships will be announced on Sunday March 10th following the short course trials which are being held in ALSAA.
