Athletics Ireland and The Sanctuary Runners’ ‘Run For Ukraine’
This Saturday, March 5th the Sanctuary Runners in association with Athletics Ireland are organising a global 'Run For Ukraine' with people taking part across the world.
We are asking for those taking part to donate to the Red Cross Ukraine Crisis Appeal.
The Sanctuary Runners is an Irish-founded solidarity-through-sport initiative which uses running, jogging and walking to bring asylum seekers, refugees, migrants and those in host communities together in solidarity, friendship and respect. You can more at Sanctuaryrunners.ie
We are asking people to:
- Run, Jog or Walk together or alone (any distance)
- Wear your Sanctuary Runner top OR anything that is blue and yellow
- Post image of your efforts to social media using hashtag #RunForUkraine
- We’re asking those taking part to consider donating to the Irish Red Cross Ukraine Crisis Appeal at Redcross.ie
