Congress 2023 Summary

Saturday’s Congress in Tullamore provided an opportunity for delegates to meet and raise key issues in person following the virtual setting of the 2021 Congress due to pandemic restrictions. Congress is always a special day and there were some important presentations, elections, motion discussions and acknowledgement of the incredible contributions made across our sport.

One of the day’s highlights included Life Vice Presidents awards being presented to Paddy Marley, Caroline O’Shea, Dermot Nagle and Norah McDermott for their contribution to athletics.

Minutes of Congress 2023 will be circulated shortly but below is a summary of the election results.

The new Board of Athletics Ireland will be composed of the following members with three co-optees to be added.
