Departure of Moira Aston, Director of Operations from Athletics Ireland

Athletics Ireland today announced that effective Nov 30th 2018 Moira Aston, Director of Operations, is departing to start a new chapter of her career as C.E.O. of Canoeing Ireland.  Over the past 11 years Moira has enjoyed a close working relationships with the Board, Committees, Staff and Volunteers of Athletics Ireland during a period of unprecedented growth for the Association that now has close to 60,000 members.

Hamish Adams, CEO of Athletics Ireland, said "We will miss the dedication, passion and boundless enthusiasm Moira has always brought to the various roles she has held within the Association. She will be greatly missed.  We look forward to following with great interest the undoubted success Moira will achieve of her new career and we all wish her the very best of luck as C.E.O. of Canoeing Ireland."

Moira Aston said: "I am delighted to be taking up a new challenge with Canoeing Ireland and I want to thank the Athletics Ireland Family, Board, Committees, Staff and Volunteers for the great support, encouragement, friendship  and assistance I have received over the years".

Athletics Ireland would like to take this opportunity to thank Moira for all her hard work and dedication over the past 11 years and wish her all the best in her new role in Canoeing Ireland.
