Women In Sport - Club Networks - Athletics Ireland

We are looking for clubs who have an interest in Women in Sport to join our women in sport network by providing a contact person for the club to be responsible for receiving and circulating information about women in sport programmes that are coming up to their members. They will be the key link between our Women in Sport Lead, Anna Grealish, and the club members.

This is an exciting time to be involved in athletics and with the momentum from the Olympics we will hopefully see more women and girls wanting to take part in our sport from schools to mass participation to clubs.

Anna Grealish – Women In Sport Lead for Athletics Ireland said

‘I am excited about the programmes we have coming up in the women in sport space. I want to work closely with clubs to roll out programmes which support their development, their membership and make athletics a lifelong sport for all women and girls. This networking piece is a key part of building this community and supporting our clubs and members’

From the Autumn there will be programmes rolled out to support female leadership, female coaches, clubs and club members. We want to support women and girls at all stages in life through teenage girls to midlife women and the programmes, campaigns and projects we have planned for 2024/25 will do just that.

We are looking for one person per club to take on this role of Women Support and provide a contact name and email address to be part of the women’s club network.

Please fill in the form below to join the network.
