After a 10 hour nap, the two JR. Prodigies (Kevin & Podge ) headed for an early morning run around the suburbs of Villamoura ,encountering a horse on their travels and the cave man of Alfamar. Meanwhile, the rest of camp prepared for their various track sessions.

Track Session

The endurance athletes swapped the trails for the track in a session of tempo work mixed with 200's. Jack  inspired by his Grand National winner, held off the stiff competition of Paul (25 years his senior). Louise's breakfast failed to make a reappearance (much to her surprise) after a much dreaded session that saw her in bed before 10 last night. The rest of the middle distance girls paced their session to perfection in what was an impressive example of teamwork.

Keepy Uppies

The afternoon saw plenty of action. This included Joe achieving a new personal best in "keepy uppies" with an exhilarating score of 201 showing the rest of the lads how it's done. The majority of the group participated in an intense game of "spoons" followed by a long walk in no particular direction which ended up, of course at the local ice-cream parlour.

Once again at 6 o'clock, the group, led by team captains Jack and Clodagh headed poolside for some well needed foam rolling and stretching after today's tough workouts. Another day has passed in which Joe has managed to use his quick turn of speed to escape the dreaded plunge into the icy water.

End of Camp

Today saw some dodgy combinations thrown together on the frying pan as the athletes made an effort to use up the final contents of their fridges ahead of their final day at the camp.

We were sorry to say goodbye to Andrew and Liam earlier on today, but more importantly we're all grateful for the extra cutlery and plates they've left behind. We look forward to an easy run on the trails tomorrow before the dreaded packing begins.
