Finisk Valley AC Forest Feast Agility Challenge

Finisk Valley AC in Co. Waterford hosted a Forest Feast Agility Challenge on Wednesday 21st January. Over 30 kids took part and enjoyed the challenge of the different events. The club also received a Forest Feast Little Athletics pack on the night and the kids enjoyed some Forest Feast goodies.

Finisk Valley is a new club in Co. Waterford established in 2014. Currently the clubs trains in Ballinameelagh and has over 60 members.

Regional Development Officer Colin Byrne said “ There is a great set up here in Finisk Valley AC and a real enthusiasm for athletics. I would like to wish the club all the best in its future development and endeavours. Thanks to the coaches from the club who helped out on the night and to coach Shane Scanlon for helping to arrange the agility challenge.”

Finisk Valley AC catchment area: Ballinameela, Aglish, Villerstown (Home of John Tracey) and Cappoquin in Co. Waterford. They have a great facility at the local Ballinameela Community Centre which includes an indoor hall and pitch. In 2014, the club built a long jump pit with a  run-up. The club has great support from parents and teachers in the local Primary school, Whitechurch National School.
