A high quality Irish senior track and field team will compete in the European Team Championships 1st League in Tallinn, Estonia this weekend. Closer to home nearly a 1,000 of our future stars of the sport will descend on Tullamore Harriers Stadium for the Juvenile Team & Relay Championships of Ireland this Saturday, 21st of June.

Event Concept

The young athletes competing on Saturday will be the U9-U11 age groups and the following individual events are on offer:

  • 60m (U9-U11)

  • 500m (U10)
  • 600m (U11)
  • Long Jump (U9-U11)
  • Turbo Javelin (U9-U11)

The event in Tullamore is unique in that all the athletes will compete in pairs with the aggregate times or distances of the two athletes determining the finishing places. The ethos of the event is all about team work and enjoying the competition for all the athletes taking part
