Lets Talk Periods- Clubs
20 clubs have signed up from across the country to take part in trialling resources which have been developed for teenage girls by teenage girls. Athletics Ireland is the first NGB to take part in this programme designed to support clubs and their teenagers to talk about and learn about Periods.
The clubs will receive a series of posters and a check list which will help the club and the girls in the club become more Period Supportive. The clubs will also receive support from Anna Grealish, Women In Sport Lead for Athletics Ireland on how to work with the resources in a club setting.
We hope to roll this out to all clubs following this pilot phase.
Lets Talk Periods- Education and Support
To support all our clubs we will be hosting two FREE webinars on Periods. The ‘Lets Talk Periods’ webinars will be delivered by Ellie Loftus. Ellie uses medical expertise to provide education on menstrual health and utilizes her legal advocacy skills to give a voice to those that are forgotten when it comes to the conversations on periods- our girls and women with intellectual and physical disabilities. Ellie is a coach and athlete based in Galway.

Men in Sport – Let’s Talk Periods

This is a webinar exclusively for men in sport who want more information on Periods, how to have the conversation with their athletes or daughters and how best to support them. It will cover types of sanitary products and how to navigate training and racing. REGISTER BELOW
