23.00 (+2.7) FOR AWESOME ADELEKE

Rhasidat Adeleke has run a wind assisted 23.00 (+2.7) for 200m at the Texas Invitational last night. This comes on the back of an Irish Junior 400m indoor record in February, and an Irish Junior 200m record in April.

The time was just 0.1s off Phil Healy’s Irish record and would move the Tallagh AC athlete to second on the Irish all-time list .

Irish athletes have been on fire in recent weeks and there has already been a number of big performances this week.

• Shane Bracken ran a two second PB at the North Florida Invitational earlier in the week: 3:41:53
• Aoibhe Richardson clocked a 5000m PB last night at the West Coast Relays in 15:43:58
