Olympic, World and European Champions Honoured by UCD Athletics Club Honourary Lifetime Memberships of UCD AC A function held in the Astra Hall in UCD, Belfield on Thursday 5th April honoured a number of Ireland's greatest ever athletes. Dr. Ronnie Delany, Eamonn Coghlan, James Nolan, John Treacy, Catherina McKiernan and the family of the late Noel Carroll were presented with Honourary Lifetime Memberships of the Athletics Club in recognition of their contribution to Irish athletics and sport. Presentations were made by Brian Mullins (UCD Director of Sport), John Eves (UCDAC Men's Captain) and Ruth Mills (UCDAC Women's Captain). Each athlete spoke in depth about their career to an invited audience and gave an insight into their own sporting heroes.
