Successful Level 1 and Leader courses in the North West.

Last weekend – Friday evening and Saturday - in Donegal Town, eighteen enthusiastic coaches from Roscommon, Leitrim, Sligo and Donegal completed Part 2 of the Level 1 Coach Education course. Weekend 1 of the course was completed in Grange, Co Sligo, on the weekend of 6/7th November.

Congratulating and thanking all the coaches for their attendance and enthusiasm over the four days, RDO Eamon Harvey, also emphasized the rewarding and important role the newly qualified coaches would play in the developing of athletics in the future. He also thanked North Sligo AC and Tir Chonaill AC for the use of their facilities and tutors Paul McNamara and Michael Casey who assisted in delivering the course

Leader Course
It was back to Donegal again on Sunday last for a group of coaches from Sliabh Liag, Letterkenny, Innishowen and Tir Chonaill athletics clubs to experience the Fundamentals of athletics and the completion of an Athletics Leader Course.

The day long course, delivered by Tutors David Doherty and Eamon Harvey, focused on the development of Agility, Balance and Coordination. All the coaches thoroughly enjoyed the course and went home with a wealth of fun ideas to in their clubs.
