Role Purpose
The Competitions Officer will support the planning, administration, coordination, and delivery of athletics competitions and events. The role involves working closely with athletes, clubs, officials, event organisers, and other stakeholders to ensure competitions are delivered efficiently and to a high standard. The successful candidate will provide administrative support across a range of competition activities, including competition entries, event management systems, results administration, communications, and event operations.

Athletics Ireland is seeking to appoint an Activation Officer – Try Track and Field Programme CAVAN

The Try Track and Field Programme is an Athletics Ireland initiative aimed at increasing participation in athletics among children aged 4-12 years. The programme primarily targets DEIS schools, special schools, and other socially, educationally, or geographically disadvantaged groups. Activation Officers play a key role in delivering engaging athletics sessions and supporting long-term participation pathways.

Purpose of the Role
To deliver Athletics Ireland's Try Track and Field Programme in approved schools, providing high-quality athletics experiences for children while promoting continued participation through links with local athletics clubs and community
