Great Ireland Run 2010 – Elite Entry Criteria
Any Irish athlete wishing to compete via an elite free entry to the Great Ireland Run 2010 must have run one of the following times or under in the last three years:
10km: Men 31:00 mins; Women 36:00 mins
10 miles: Men 53:00 mins; Women 62:00 mins
Half marathon: Men 69:00 mins; Women 80:00 mins
Marathon: Men 2:24:00; Women 2:45:00
Other standards considered:
Top 20 placing at National Senior Cross Country Championships
Any athlete (Junior/ U23 / Senior) who has represented Ireland at cross country/ road or track (1500m and above) over the last three years will also be offered elite free entry.
We offer overall prize money and Irish only prize money. Prize money for the women will be awarded to elite women only not women who run fast times from the mass start. Prize money will also not be awarded past 32:00 mins for men and 36:00 mins for women.
*An Irish athlete can collect both prize structures.

Numbers in both elite fields are restricted so apply early to avoid disappointment.

The elite management reserve the right to refuse any entry whether an athlete meets criteria or not. This is a guide and does not guarantee elite entry into any Great Run event!
