Juvenile
Juvenile Athletics is promoted through the club structure, with ages commencing in certain clubs from 6 years of age, all disciplines are catered for.
Primary goals are:
- Ensure competitions are athlete centred and appropriate
- All Children to have the opportunity to participate in athletics
- Inclusiveness for all participants
- Support programmes to increase participation in athletics
- Oversee the implementation of a quality programme
Juvenile National Competition Programmes include individual, club, county and provincial in:
- Cross Country
- Track & Field
- Indoor
- Following Juvenile Championships, International Competition is organised annually for Cross Country and Track & Field between Ireland, Wales, Scotland and Ulster. Ireland host Celtic Games every 4 years in both Track & Field and Cross Country
