Previewed by Tim O'Dowd Irish Eye Indiana – A Preview of the 2007 NCAA Cross Country Championship from an Irish Perspective. There are five Irish head coaches and six harriers competing at the 2007 NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships. The quintet of Irish coaches is comprised of John McDonnell (University of Arkansas), Ray Treacy (Providence College), Mick Byrne (Iona College), Marcus O'Sullivan (Villanova) and Stony Brook University's Andy Ronan. In addition to the aforementioned five, Alistair Cragg is in his third year as a volunteer assistant at Arkansas working with McDonnell. Andrew Ledwith (Iona), Ciarán O'Lionáird (Michigan), Richie Yeates (Providence) and David McCarthy (Providence) will compete in the men's 10-kilometre race which goes off first at 12:08 pm. A pair of Dundrum South Dublin athletes; Breffini Twohig (Providence) and Laura Huet (Stony Brook) will compete in the women's 6-kilometre race that will begin at 12:58 pm. www.irishrunner.com
