5,000 spectators for each of the five sessions With just 9 days to go before the start of the 29th European Athletics Indoor Championships in Birmingham (GBR), organisers have revealed that the event is a complete sell-out on Saturday and Sunday and that over 85% of Friday’s allocation of tickets have already been sold to the public. The National Indoor Arena has a capacity of 5,000 spectators for each of the five sessions, meaning that a total of 25,000 tickets were made available. The event, which will be the last major athletics event to be held in Britain before the London Olympics in 2012, will be covered by over 20 European broadcasters and an audience of millions throughout the world.
