Book Your Club Child Protection Training
Applications for Club Basic Awareness in Child Protection (Code of Ethics) courses are now being accepted for 2016. The maximum number of attendees at a Child Protection course is 18 and the minimum number for a course to proceed is 10. All participants should be over 18. The course is three hours in duration, usually between 6.30pm and 9.30pm with a break for tea/coffee at 8.00pm.
The hosting club simply provides an appropriate meeting room and ensures that there are adequate participants on the night. There is a charge of €10 per person for the course. This is collected on the night. The course is accredited by Sport Ireland and a certification of attendance is issued to all and is valid for three years. This child protection course is mandatory for all sports leaders and is refreshed every three years.
