Irish athletes selected for European Throwing Cup

Seven Irish athletes have been selected for the European Throwing Cup in Gran Canaria this weekend March 11th and 12th.

World U20 stars Michaela Walsh (Swinford) and Adam King (Iveragh) are in the squad. Walsh will compete in the U23 women’s shot put and hammer while King will compete in the U23 men’s hammer.

John Kelly (Finn Valley) has had an excellent indoor season with a new Donegal shot put record of 17.49m and he will compete in the U23 shot put in the sunny climes of Gran Canaria.
