Two Irish athletes performed well at the IUA 24hr World Championships in Tapei, Taiwan on Saturday.

Ed McGroarty (Lifford Strabane AC) ran 218.670km, while Anne Jennings (Dublin Bay Running Club) ran 208.732km.

McGroarty's performance saw him finish second in the O45 category of the World Masters Athletics race which was incorporated into the championships.

Well done to both athletes and the team management.
