The first Irish Schools Athletics Championships took place in Lansdowne Road in 1916 meaning that the centenary of this momentous occasion in Irish athletics will take place next year.
In order to prepare the celebrate this historic occasion, the Athletics Ireland Technical Committee undertook the considerable task to record all the winners of each of the events in all age groups since 1916. Document Available Here updated 8th May

14. Irish Schools Champions who won Major International Championships
15. Irish Schools Champions who became Government Ministers
16. Irish Schools Champions who won All Ireland Senior GAA medals
17. Irish Schools Champions who were capped for Ireland at senior international Rugby
18. Venues - Track & Field
The list will be stored on the Athletics Ireland Statistics page in the Roll of Honour section and will be updated and corrected on a regular basis.
The lists are dedicated to teachers all over the island of Ireland who promoted athletics in their schools over the last 100 years.
