Athletics Ireland are pleased to announce the launch of our next Level 3 coaching course in conjunction with Sport Ireland Coaching. The Level 3 course is the highest level of coaching qualification available within athletics in Ireland.
The Level 3 course builds on the experiences of Level 2 coaching and prepares the coach for performance coaching, providing coaches with advanced level instruction in their chosen event.
The Level 3 syllabus includes event specific sections, with common core elements applied to an event group context. The course is targeted at those who are actively coaching high-performance athletes, particularly those working with Senior, Junior and Youth international athletes.
Coaches will specialise in one of the following event areas; Sprints & Hurdles, Endurance & Race Walking, Jumps, Throws.
The course will begin in January 2025 and conclude in June 2026 with numerous contact days taking place over the 18-month period.
Places on this course are limited and open only to those who have completed Level 2 and have significant coaching experience.
