The first Limerick county coaching clinic will be held in the University of Limerick this coming Sunday (28th Jan) from 10am until 12 The coaching clinic is aimed at athletes over 14 years of age and up to Juniors in 4 event groups, sprints, endurance, jumps and throws. The session will consist of some traing or technical advice and the opportunity for the young athletes or their coaches to have a question and answer session with the clinics coaches or guest athletes who include; Gary Ryan, AAI Director of coaching and Irish 100m record holder John Sheehan, AAI regional coach for Munster Valerie Vaughan, World Silver medal in Cross Country Rosemary Daniels, former national high jump champion Gareth Devlin Former national long jump champion along with a number of Limerick based coaches this should be the beginning of an exciting development for athletics in Limerick.
