Mark Carroll ran a superb 4.06 mile last night at the Mardyke to kick start the Spar Mile Challenge in fine style. A good turnout of young and old, fast and slow, serious runners, fun runners, recreational joggers and walkers all participated in the Spar Mile Challenge at the Mardyke. All were awarded a certificate with their time, a wristband to wear showing the time-band they had achieved and a spike/boot bag. Competition was high to see who could achieve the coveted red band for the 4-5 minute milers. Mardyke This was the first of 28 such Challenges to be held nationwide. On-line entries are now closed but all are welcome to go along today and enter at the venue.
